This beautiful early Royal was re-enamelled a few years ago, and has now just been electrified. The owners are delighted with the ease of control, and not having to shovel coal and live with the associated dust any more.
Gas Nouvelles appear in pairs, so it seems! Here is a picture of a later model one we converted recently in Dorset.

The customer had been putting up with the cooker burner not working for 2 years, and more recently the boiler leaking all over the kitchen floor. Although heating is now provided by a separate modern boiler, she wanted to keep the Rayburn in the kitchen for heating teh kitchen and cooking, as it has been with the family for nearly 30 years.
This is her feedback - ‘thank you so much for the brilliant conversion. I put the timer on last night and woke up to a lovely warm kitchen again. I am really thrilled!’
